A church in the fields of life
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
–John 4:35 (NASB)
People around us are spiritual. They desire meaning and purpose, but many are yet to find it. The Church is called to journey with and serve its neighbors in the fields of life, showing them the truth of the gospel.
A family of families
Children are a part of families and we include them in our services. They are not an inconvenience. They make noise because they are needy, just like the rest of us. Families do stuff together. They eat together, celebrate together, they help one another; they are involved in each other's lives. We will equip you to be your children's primary discipler.
Gospel centered
The Gospel speaks to all of life; therefore all of life is an opportunity to apply the gospel. Every need is an opportunity to experience God's grace. We will strive to understand, "What is good news to this person in this situation?" and practically speak Jesus and His truth into their lives. We will learn, together, to speak the truth to ourselves and to apply the Gospel to everyday life and then learn to share those simple, applicable truths to those with whom we build relationships.
On Mission Together
We don't go to church. We are the church. We are sent with purpose to minister to those in need of a new start, as we all are. Worship services are not a just a time to be fed, but a time to be fed and trained with the purpose of feeding others.
Jesus is the Hero, always. It's not about us.
God has called us to plant a new life-giving church in Galesburg to reach the unchurched. Let’s walk alongside our neighbors in their fields of life, whether they be family, business, education, or industry. This is the real world where sweat, blood, and tears are spilled, and real people live and die; where risks are taken, hearts are won, and legacies are left.
The fields of life are where God has called us to work. We want to be where God’s action is.

The fields of life are where God has called us to work. We want to be where God’s action is.

We envision fields of people being transformed by a loving God and compelled to join Him out here in the fields of life.
We see an army, not an audience. We see that God works through relationship, not a religion. We see a body functioning in the world, not a building where people are attracted. We see that God primarily uses people to reach people, not programs. We see people connecting with God, His Word, and each other—stripped of all the fluff—in a simple, fulfilling, world-changing way. We see people equipped, empowered, and fruitful, even called to start more like-minded churches.
We’ll be effective by courageously loving God and people. The main activity of our mission is believers starting relationships with people and loving them as Jesus does. You see, we believe the church exists for those who are not yet in it. We thank God that He salvages us, sets us in family, and sends us out with purpose.
